GAYS: Leave Churches That Condemn ALL Homosexual Behavior

Seems the Exodus Movement has infiltrated some mainline churches (Missouri Lutheran, Presbyterian). Venue is changing; message has not. “ALL UNREPENTANT homosexuals will go to Hell; they must stay celibate OR marry heterosexually. NO EXCEPTIONS!”
“Repentant” – meaning we gays must acknowledge, before God, that we are unnatural and sinning EVEN when we are in a loving, committed, monogamous union/marriage. They are WRONG! These Christians rely on Biblical scholars who say “the Bible contains overwhelming evidence that ALL homosexual behavior is sin.” They dismiss Biblical scholars who disagree with them (and there are just as many) and continue to “guide” homosexuals away from their natural sexual orientation, encouraging celibacy or heterosexual marriage, while working on the control of the gay feelings to love & be loved living in the gay person. This is encouraging a lie and I think lying is a sin. DUH!
These anti-gay Christians are intelligent, but weak, for they still must rely on fear and guilt tactics. They prey on gays who are not sure that they can be gay, Christian and saved. YOU CAN!!
If you are in a church like this; if you are not sure that homosexual, loving unions are blessed by God, GET OUT OF THESE DESTRUCTIVE CHURCHS!! There are many mainline churches changing their prior beliefs on homosexuality. They will serve you communion and be truly loving, unlike the new anti-gay churches of which I speak. I personally know a Lutheran minister (ELCA) who marries gay couples. By the standards of these new anti-gay Christians, I guess he’s going to Hell, too.
Just be sure to check out a church to make sure the minister does not believe homosexuality to be a sin before you start to attend. Or find a Metropolitan Community Church. Just stay away from these self-righteous, condemning, prejudiced “Christian Churchs”. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They seek to destroy you, in the name of love, and tell you they seek to save your soul.
Remember 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Since no one can confess what he does not know is a sin, clearly the verse calls upon us to confess the sins we know and God will forgive us the sins we confess AND is “faithful” to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.”
Don’t let these “wolves” sell you their lies.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Our sins do not result in the loss of eternal life. They do hurt our personal relationship with God, but when we confess, His forgiveness restores that harmony. This is not a license to sin, but the more you do the will of God, the more you will want to do His Will and obey His Commandments. Don’t have to be perfect.

Exodus Christian Movement In Financial Trouble

This right-wing Christian movement had been tauting their success ‘changing’ gays to straight. Of course, they don’t see that behavior can be changed, but not the nature of the person. Their tactic is fear – telling gays they will go to Hell if they do not change or remain celibate. Can paint the spots on a leopard, but the spots are still there. Now word comes that the Exodus movement is having financeial troubles – they are in the red and have had to let employees go. To those employees I say “you are better off unemployed than working for an organization that is not preaching Christianity on this issue.” To all who wonder how I can say this, buy my autobiographical ebook at Amazon Kindle ($6). Church: Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

What is it you don’t understand? Lay people are not always wrong and the Church is not always right.
The purpose of the Church is to preach the Gospel of Jesus the Christ and nowhere in the Gospel is there a condemnation of homosexuality.
“For God so loved the world that He sent his only Son, that WHOSOEVER believes shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 How much easier can it get?

Pat Robertson, Alzheimers and Divorce

News flash today: Pat Robertson states that one can divorce their spouse on the grounds of Alzheimers.
For a preacher who takes the Bible literally I find this hypocritical. Pat vehemently condemns homosexuals to Hell; no compromise; no gray areas. On the issue of divorce, the Bible states that no one can divorce his wife except on the grounds of adultery. We marry “until death do us part.” Alzheimer’s is not adultery, nor is it death.
Pat, get your facts and your interpretations clear! You can’t have it both ways.

Pat Robertson And Homosexuality

When the gay marriage law passed in New York State, Pat Robertson said, “no civilization that tolerates homosexuality has ever survived”. I guess Pat is blaming America’s economic mess on us homosexuals. Yet, the Middle East countries condemn homosexuality and they’ve got more problems than USA. I’d look at who’s leading each nation before blaming homosexuals for the destruction of civilization because it’s you heterosexuals. Pat’s statement is naive and quite hateful towards gays. He will say “it’s not me; the Bible says so”, but that’s false. He might say “I don’t hate gays, just their sin”, but is that really how you feel, Pat? You can’t blame one sexual orientation, for all sexual orientations have sinned and fallen away from God and His teachings. It’s not same gender love that is destroying our world, it’s greed, hatred and power. Pat, you need a reality check as does anyone else who believes as Pat Robertson.

Closeted Gay Ministers ‘Come Out’

To all dissatisfied gay ministers pastoring in mainline churchs where you cannot be open about who you are, about how God created you, I have a suggestion. Transfer to a Metropolitan Community Church. MCC needs more gay ministers in order to keep growing and helping GLBTQS people. Check out MCC’s Home Page to see how you can transfer and spread the Gospel of Jesus to all sexual orientation (and 10% of MCC members are heterosexual). The hiding must stop! Michelle Bachmann Calls Gays “Barbarians”

“Barbarian” (Webster’s definition): alien, savage, primitive, cruel, uncultured, coarse.
In my 65 years of life as a lesbian I have been called many names, but NEVER ‘barbarian’, as Michelle Bachmann called gay people, yesterday. I can identify with ‘alien’ because that is the way most of the world treats gays. As for the rest of the definition, Michelle, take a look at your own sexual orientation; not exactly squeaky clean. Generalizing is destructive. We did it to African Americans and women. Further, Michelle stated that passing gay marriage will only lead to making polygamy normal. Take a look at your Bible, because polygamy was the norm. Abraham, the ‘father’ of Judeo/Christian faith was polygamous AND was married to his half-sister. That’s incest.
Come out of the dark ages, Michelle and all who agree with her. This is NOT a person I want for our next President.

Marcus Bachmann: Another Anti-Gay Propagandist

Republican Michelle Bachmann’s husband, Marcus, a Christian Therapist who believes one can “pray away the gay”, is just another in a long line of naïve and prejudiced Christian ‘scholars’ who believe God created ALL people heterosexual. Based on what? The Creation story and/or the 6 biblical ‘clobber’ passages? I, a Christian lesbian, would love to show him how wrong he is. He sees the issue from one side, for he was created straight. I see the issue from both sides, for I did not recognize I was gay till the age of 27. I lived a straight life; well, I tried and it tormented me because I could never feel towards men the way all my women friends did. All gays have experienced life in this way and know better than straight people that you can’t “pray away the gay” because God created us gay and doesn’t want us to be something other than who HE created us to be. Gays have a frame of reference; straight people don’t. They don’t know what gays feel, but they continue to tell us that what we feel is not natural. What self-righteousness!! Reminds me of the Pharisees and Jesus was not thrilled with them.
To Marcus Bachmann and all who believe homosexuality is not God created and blessed, I tell you that the only reason a gay person wants to change and be straight is brought about by the condemning attitude of people like the Bachmann’s. Stop perpetuating homosexuality as abnormal and immoral, for there is no Biblical evidence that backs up your belief. Actually, there is biblical evidence against your anti-gay belief. Want to help gays – accept us as the way God intended us to be.
To my gay brothers and sisters, hang in there. Do NOT buy into this perverted anti-gay garbage.
